Project:

Rag Quilt Of Memories

Intro:

Have you read the book The Rag Coat by Lauren Mills? This story is set in Appalachia and concerns a young girl and her coat made of rag pieces. Each piece of fabric had a memory or story associated with it.

Summary:

Each participant will be asked to write a paragraph about a memory that goes with a 3 1/2 inch square scrap of fabric. The squares will be sewn together to form a quilt. The paragraphs will be woven into a book of memories.
